Hot Tub Buying Considerations

Simply for the sake of safety, when considering buying a hot tub it is always recommended that any hot tub be supported by a solid foundation, such as a slab of cement. Even the smaller hot tubs are capable of holding 125 gallons of water, which alone checks in above 1,041 pounds before even one person puts a toe in the water. So you can clearly see, that without a proper foundation, placing a hot tub directly on the ground may not be the best idea.

Next to consider is how many people you envision frequenting the hot tub you buy at any given time. If you plan on hosting a lot of hot tub parties or gatherings, you will most likely want a larger hot tub, but if you're buying it mainly for just you and your spouse, a smaller one would do just fine.

Which brings us directly to the next point to consider before buying your hot tub. As the hot tub gets bigger, it also get pricier. Hot tubs come with varying prices as they get bigger, with the smaller two-person ones coming in at about $4,500 and a six-person hot tub somewhere in the range of $10,000. Examine your own personal financial situation and then proceed forward with selecting the size of the hot tub you want to buy.
